Fresh is the hottest artist in British dance music. With two consecutive No.1 singles (‘Louder’ and ‘Hot Right Now’), over 1 million sales and a sold out UK live tour under his belt, Fresh has grown from rising star to record breaking household name. ‘The Power’, his new single featuring the UK’s premier hip hop star, Dizzee Rascal, was unveiled via a world exclusive by Radio 1’s Zane Lowe, with further support from Mistajam. Dizzee features in the promo video, shot at the recent Winter Music Conference in Miami.
Following the guest vocal from Rita Ora on ‘Hot Right Now’, collaborations are forthcoming with the likes of Professor Green, Rizzle Kicks, The Fray and Juliette Lewis, these and further tracks will feature on Fresh’s eagerly awaited new artist album to be released this summer.
Recently awarded ‘Best Producer’ at the Drum & Bass Awards, and armed with the first No.1 singles in both drum & bass and dubstep, plus past hits ‘Gold Dust’ and ‘Lassitude’ (cumulative Youtube views now over 60 million), Fresh continues to push the boundaries of both genres with a full live band and stunning light show. Fresh is on keyboards, joined by Kodish on drums (Pendulum and Bad Company, Dan’s former band), guitarist Richard De Rosa and Fleur on vocals.
Commencing in May, the Fresh Live Spring tour will be one of his biggest live tours to date with shows in London (Koko), Liverpool, Birmingham, Glasgow, Sheffield and beyond. It follows his sell-out Fresh Live shows at the end of 2011 and previous shows at Alexandra Palace (UKF) and the Royal Albert Hall (Spirit Of London).
DJ Fresh recently performed at the Royal Albert Hall for the Spirit of London Awards, and notably comprised a special acoustic version of ‘Louder’ with famed string quartet Escala. DJ Fresh also won ‘Best Dance Act’ at this year’s Urban Music Awards. His career to date includes being a principal member of d&b legends, Bad Company, label boss for the Breakbeat Kaos imprint (which helped break Pendulum) along with working with artists ranging from the Pet Shop Boys to DJ Shadow.
